Shopify — product-level detail
The best source for anything the brief says about specific products.
| Pull | Use |
|---|---|
| Per-SKU revenue and units | Top performers and slow movers, which is the spine of the brief |
| Variant performance | Which size, colour, or option is actually moving |
| Inventory on hand | Never push a product that's about to stock out |
| Product images and descriptions | Flow straight into asset generation downstream |
The inventory check matters more than it looks. A brief that recommends pushing a product with eleven units left creates a campaign that sells out in two days and disappoints everyone it reached. Cross-check stock before anything goes on the push list.

What doesn't change
- The brief is still strategic output only — what to push, what to offer, what to hold. No calendars, no assets. Those live in
social-content-engine - Still built from actual sales data, never from category assumptions
- Still names specific products with specific numbers
- The sales-CSV path still produces the same brief
