bmad-code-review
The facts
Its description
Review code changes with several independent reviewers in parallel, then triage and present the findings. Use when the user says "run code review" or "review this code"
The description the agent reads to decide when to use it.
When it starts
The agent picks this skill when the user asks for a code review of a change — a diff, branch, commit range, PR, or uncommitted work — and wants independent reviewers' findings triaged and presented. The description names the trigger phrases "run code review" and "review this code".
Things a person might say (the model's guesses)
- “run code review”
- “review this code”
- “can you review my changes before I merge?”
A model's summary of when it is used.
Runs scripts

Scripts the text names. Found by matching words, so treat them as pointers.
What it leads to
- hands off to bmad-build only when fixes is not handoff step-05-present.md, line 122
- calls bmad only if the render script is missing line 21
Other skills this one hands off to, calls, requires or offers instead, as a model read them.
What leads to it
- bmad-walkthrough calls this when the user picks Formal review and the target is code bmad-walkthrough/step-03-walkthrough.md, line 50
Other skills that hand off to this one, call it, require it or offer it instead, as a model read them.

Run the following command exactly once without changing the current working directory.
Replace {project-root} with the nearest folder containing _bmad/, from the working directory upward. Replace {skill-root} with the absolute path to this skill's directory.
If the invocation asks for a quick or thorough review, append --set workflow.review=<value> to the command. If the invocation asks for a no-code review, append --set workflow.fixes=handoff to the command.
If the invocation is clearly non-interactive -- it says not to ask questions, or a bot, a CI job or another workflow is running the review -- append --set workflow.interactive=false. When in doubt, don't.
uv run --no-cache "{project-root}/_bmad/scripts/render_skill.py" --project-root "{project-root}" --skill "{skill-root}"- The command prints the skill's workflow: follow it.
HALT: <reason>: report the reason and stop. - If the script does not exist, BMad is not set up in this project yet. Offer to set it up using
bmadskill, then run the command again. If you do not have thebmadskill, offer to install it first. - On any other output or failure, including
uvbeing unavailable, report the command output and stop. Do not run any workflow source directly.
